Monday Mindfulness: Guided Meditation to Clear Your Mind

Arien Smith

Can you imagine how wonderful every day would be if you could completely control what your mind does, when it thinks, and stop it from wandering into not-so-fun territory? With a little practice, this can be achieved. I know you're busy, so I made a short meditation that you can do as often as you like (I recommend once a day, but even just a single time can be transformative and leave you feeling peaceful and still). It's less than 10 minutes, so I know you can find time to set aside for this. The impact will be worth it.

Monday Mindfulness: Send Loving Energy to Those Who Have Passed

Arien Smith

Grieving is an intensely painful process—when we lose someone, be that a loved one (even an animal), we are overcome with the realization that they will never have the same, or perhaps any, role in our lives anymore. We are also hit hard with our own morality, or the fragility of all relationships. This meditation is meant to help relieve both the pain of grief and the fear around your own sense of impending loss. As a compassion-based meditation, it will be founded in love for yourself and for the other, making it a truly healing practice.

Monday Mindfulness: Accept Your Body

Arien Smith

Society puts an unfortunate amount of limitations and expectations on our bodies with such extremely limited "standards of beauty." This blog is all about understanding that our bodies are innately perfect, no matter our gender identity, sex, race, ability, and any and all other differences that our bodies are marvelously endowed with. Your body, just as you are in this moment right now, is accepted and loved by the Universe. Learning to manifest this self-compassion towards your own body will be the first step in transforming your connection to your own humanity and to all others on this planet. This meditation will help us to heal these toxic ideals imposed on us from the collective ego of our societies.

Monday Mindfulness: A Meditation to Forgive Yourself

Arien Smith

Forgiveness is paramount when it comes to personal recovery. Without it we will forever the continue cycle of shaming ourselves and digging ourselves into deeper holes. When we focus on forgiveness, we hold ourselves accountable for the mistakes that we made and recognize that our self-worth is still infinite and that we are still lovable. It is hard to balance the feelings of compassion and shame simultaneously, but, through practicing personal forgiveness, we are slowly able to learn the mechanisms of how to best to achieve this.

This meditation is extremely powerful and emotive. It focuses on recognizing the mistake we made while simultaneously recognizing our self-worth and ability to be unconditionally loved. When we combine compassion with the difficult feelings, we can experience a deep release of emotion and profound healing.

Monday Mindfulness: Clear Your Mind

Arien Smith

As we slowly release our dependency on our thoughts, we will more closely acquaint ourselves with the present moment and our overall quality of life will increase. There are many articles and studies on how people who think less and live more in the moment are happier, have more energy, and retain memories better!

So how does one seek the present moment and find stillness through meditation? It's surprisingly simple.
